Microschool Loomis: a program built around real structure

The microschool Loomis families ask about most often is Meadow View Learning, a Christian learning community in Rocklin, about ten minutes away. We pair a classical academic foundation with Montessori-style hands-on materials in multi-age groups, working through two weekly programs: five days or three.

Mornings open with guided instruction: Math and Language Arts for students in the 5-Day program, science and social studies for those in the 3-Day program. The day moves into hands-on project work, real materials in hand rather than a stack of worksheets. The same rhythm repeats five days a week, or three, depending on which program a family chooses; the [programs](/programs) page lays out both.

Families here still homeschool under California's Private School Affidavit or through a charter program. Meadow View Learning provides the weekday instruction and community around that arrangement, and the [tuition](/tuition) and [admissions](/admissions) pages cover how enrollment and payment work.

  • The Rocklin campus is about a ten-minute drive from Loomis.
  • Enrollment across the whole community is capped at 35 students in grades 2 through 12, with 11 currently enrolled and 12 full-week seats open for Fall 2026.
  • The 5-Day Core Learning Program runs $8,000 a year and includes Math and Language Arts instruction; the 3-Day Enrichment Program runs $5,000 a year for Wednesday through Friday.
  • Multi-age groups hold about eight learners per three-year range. The elementary years are screen-free by design, and faith and character formation run through the whole week.

Loomis families usually start with a fifteen-minute phone call, then a campus tour before enrolling in the 5-Day program. [Schedule that call](/schedule) to see which of the two weekly programs fits your family.

Questions families ask

Is Meadow View Learning an accredited private school?
No. Meadow View Learning is a faith-based nonprofit tutorial center serving families who independently homeschool under California's Private School Affidavit (PSA) law or through charter school programs. We provide weekday instructional support in a community-based environment.
What ages or grades does the microschool serve?
Meadow View Learning serves grades 2 through 12 in multi-age groupings of about eight learners per three-year range. The elementary years are screen-free by design, with real books and hands-on materials doing the work a screen might otherwise do.
Do I need to already homeschool under a Private School Affidavit or a charter to enroll?
No. Families homeschool under a PSA or a charter program, and Meadow View Learning supplies the weekday instruction and community around that arrangement. If you haven't filed a PSA or joined a charter yet, the first fifteen-minute call is a good place to ask how that works for your family.

Meadow View Learning is an educational program and learning community, not a school of record. Families retain responsibility for their child's primary education.
