The Private School Affidavit, explained
Families who enroll at Meadow View Learning and are not using a charter file California's Private School Affidavit. It is a short online form on the California Department of Education website, and it registers your family's home education with the state. Most families finish it in about five minutes.
The state's filing period is October 1 to 15, and the filing system is open from August 1 to June 30, so families who start mid-year file when they start.

Using a homeschool charter
Charter funding may be applied to Wednesday–Friday instructional days only. Math and Language Arts instruction is not included in charter-funded services. All charter-funded instruction is secular in nature.
Families using a homeschool charter may apply charter funds to Wednesday through Friday instruction, and your family pays the rest of the tuition. On the call, we'll work out exactly what your family would pay.
Where Meadow View Learning fits
Meadow View Learning is an educational program and learning community, not a school of record. Families retain responsibility for their child's primary education.
Families remain legally responsible for their child's education, and Meadow View Learning functions as a partner through structured educational programming, instruction, and community life.
